Ithaca by Bus

Set sail for Ithaka, Kefalonia’s sister island and the legendary homeland of Odysseus, for a full day of laid-back cruising, coastline views, and timeless island charm. Stretch out on deck as we glide past rugged cliffs, hidden coves, and sleepy fishing hamlets, with plenty of time to soak up the scenery and the sea breeze.

Our first stop is the island’s capital, Vathi, a picture-perfect bay with waterfront cafés, little boutiques, and local shops—ideal for a relaxed wander and a spot of shopping. From there we continue along the coast to the breathtaking harbour of Kioni, where colourful houses tumble down to the water’s edge. Here you’ll have time to explore the village and enjoy lunch of local specialities in one of the welcoming tavernas by the sea.

To finish the day in true Ionian style, we head to Ithaka’s most celebrated beach, Gidaki Bay—a beautiful, secluded stretch of pale pebbles and crystal-clear turquoise water, only reachable by boat or on foot. Dive in for a refreshing swim, snorkel in the calm shallows, or simply relax and take in the unspoilt surroundings before we cruise back, sun-kissed and satisfied, with Ithaka’s myth and magic still in the air.
